The SNEED-JET Freedom 21 is a nearly ideal printing solution for 2" wide high resolution labeling. It is very easy to set up and get going with minimal fuss - but pay attention to your ink cartridges's voltage and pulse width markings, and make sure to input them into the fields on the user interface!
The shipped object detection sensor works great for constant speed lines, and I can heartily recommend getting the encoder accessory for lines that are only loosely speed controlled. Connectors are tight fitting and dust proof, and should have a long service life.
I have only used the on-screen user interface to make labels, but the resulting *.jet files are a simple text format that can hand written or modified, and copied to and from the SNEED-JET via USB. (It would be nice if the format was better documented in the manual for those of us with on-staff software engineering talent).
My only caveats are that there is no support for per-product dynamic labeling, nor an automatic capping station accessory.
With respect to dynamic labeling, the SNEED-JET Freedom has neither RS-232 interface support, nor is there a USB Ethernet or WiFi remote label update capability. Additionally, the SNEED-JET's label image is _not_ updatable from the USB stick when in 'Print' mode - it must be taken out of Print mode first before the label can be edited or updated, then put back into Print mode.
Although I've been able to solve both limitations to my satisfaction in my specific application, vendor supplied solutions would have been preferred.
