Every time these cartridges get below 25% the quality of print drops drastically. They never last the full life even though you can tell by the weight they still have plenty of ink.

The patented HP® cartridge is designed to always have some ink remaining in the ink cartridge to ensure the nozzles are able to fire properly - this extra ink is accounted for when filling the cartridges and they are rated to deliver 42ml of ink for you.
